Murder at Cafe Noir

By Prairie Pines (other events)

15 Dates Through Apr 28, 2018

Our long time bartender and Prairie Pines friend recently had a sweet baby girl, Isla. She was born with a medical condition that is very rare. Isla's major diagnosis is GNAO1 (Epilepsy/Movement Disorder). It is an ultra-rare mutation with less than 60 cases worldwide. It is unfortunately life-threatening and regressive so learned skills can be lost in an instant. Most don’t walk, talk, or sit up on their own.

She is also medically complex with a congenital heart defect and a soft cleft palate both requiring surgery, one eye is small and blind, she has underdeveloped parts in her brain along with microcephaly and a few other less concerning issues. None of these are accounted for by GNAO1 to the doctors’ knowledge and there were no other findings from the genetic testing. She truly is one of a kind!

Prairie Pines Dinner Theater is reserving this evening's show as a benefit night with all proceeds to benefit the Creasser-Taylor family. Any proceeds will go directly to the Isla's fund.  Proceeds will help with mounting medical and travel expenses the family has incurred Isla will continue to have as treatments, appointments, and procedures in Kansas City on a regular basis and it is our hope that we can help ease the financial burden for this special family.

Prairie Pines is offering a full evening of entertainment.  Enjoy this hilarious rendition one of the most popular mystery dinner shows in the country. Murder at Cafe Noir has enjoyed weekly productions coast to coast since its premiere. This forties detective story come to life features Rick Arher, P.I., out to find a beautiful runaway on the forgotten island of Mustique, a place stuck in a black and white era. The owner of the Cafe Noir has washed ashore, murdered and Rick's quarry was the last person seen with him. He employs his hard boiled talents to find the killer. Was it the French madame and club manager, the voodoo priestess, the shyster British attorney, the black marketeer, or the femme fatale? The audience will enjoy voting twice on what they want Rick to do next and these decisions will direct the flow of this delightful and comic tribute to the Bogart era.

This exciting, all-inclusive evening is designed for your complete entertainment. The atmosphere of the theater and delicious menu will transport you to a tropical island. Choose between a premium beef or chicken meal or a delicious vegetarian dinner.  In addition to each meal, you will be served a salad, soup, and dessert course.  For more information visit us at .
